THE STORY

A history you can hold

I

The Leleg houses. The first settlers of Halicarnassus, today's Bodrum, were the Leleg people. Inspired by their houses, we shaped the upper part of the pen cap after the silhouette of a Leleg home.

II

925 sterling silver. The metal fittings are crafted in sterling silver, in reference to the elegance of the women of ancient Halicarnassus.

III

The Mausoleum. On the cap ring, we depicted the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus — one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, built for King Mausolus by his wife and sister, Artemisia. Only ruins survive today.

IV

Bodrum Castle. The body ring carries the outline of Bodrum Castle, built as St. Peter's Castle by the Knights of St. John from 1402 onward.

V

The historical tombs. The head and body of the pen are finished in a dome-shaped form, drawn from the silhouette of Bodrum's historical rock tombs.

VI

Materials and nib. A German Jowo stainless steel nib. The cap and body are finished in a white stone tone, the top and bottom in a natural stone tone — both inspired by Bodrum's historic structures, made from the finest Italian acrylic.
