The sikke. The top of the cap is shaped after the sikke, the tall felt hat worn by the whirling dervishes — a quiet nod to the Mevlevi order and its rituals.

The clip. Shaped into a V, the clip echoes the front of the dervishes' vest, worn open over the robe during the sema.

The robe. The white acrylic of the cap and body stands for the dervishes' white robes — pure, plain, and unadorned.

Silver details. The clip and fittings are hand-crafted from 925 sterling silver, worked entirely by hand.

Materials and nib. Turned from the finest Italian acrylic and fitted with a German Jowo #6 nib.
